Relief from symptoms of depression is also called "remission," and achieving remission decreases the chance that your symptoms will return or that you will experience a new episode of depression. Are you moving toward that goal? You can help reach the goal of alleviating symptoms by engaging in honest and direct communication with your doctor. The more you know about your condition, about your treatment options, and about what progress looks like, the more active you can be in determining the course of your therapy.
